In this program participants will design their own tool book that outlines their disability, identifies their personal needs, sensory requirements, interests and capabilities, so that their support people are better equipped to understand and support your child.
You will be working with Beck Lloyd, who is a graphic designer and support worker, currently studying Bachelor of Art Therapy. Beck focuses on using creative arts for mental health, supporting NDIS goals and aiding visual communication.
Beck has raised two boys with Aspergers Syndrome (High Functioning Autism) and understands the value of a good communication piece that can be used by school teachers, employers, support workers, and relatives to better understand your child. This book will become a toolkit that allows the participant to identify their needs and communicate these needs to the people who support them.
